Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal and the leader of the Trinamool Congress, said on Monday that she had postponed her scheduled trip to Delhi to attend a significant conference on “One Nation, One Election.

” CM Banerjee was supposed to go to Delhi on Monday night in order to attend the meeting on Tuesday and then return to Kolkata the same evening, as per the original plan. On Monday, however, he said that he had canceled his visit since the state assembly’s budget session was still in session and he felt it was vital for him to be in the House.

He announced that Kalyan Banerjee and Sudip Bandyopadhyay, members of the Lok Sabha for the Trinamool Congress, will represent the party at the conference on “One Nation, One Election.” For an extended period, conjecture swirled about the Chief Minister’s intended trip to Delhi, with whispers circulating that his journey was intended for purposes other than attending the ‘One Nation, One Election’ gathering.
